Use of Logo Policy

Distinctive, consistent visual representation is essential to conveying the ALA in print, on the Web and on signage. Consistent and appropriate use of the logo identifies the Academy and is used in its certificates. As such, its use is strictly monitored and approval must be sought prior to using symbols of the ALA.Any questions about the standards below should be addressed to Grace Danswan at grace@aust-logistics.com.

Who may use the logo?

The logo is designed for official Academy communication, programs, certificates, materials and events. Students who wish to use the Academy logo should contact Grace Danswan at grace@aust-logistics.com. All logo use must be approved by the Academy prior to printing, production or posting (e.g., on the Web).

Logo use

It is vitally important that the logo remain intact and consistent in order to maintain a consistent visual identity. Therefore:

  • The logo must be printed in an approved color.
  • The logo may not be altered in any way except to be enlarged or reduced proportionally.
  • The logo must always be printed as is and in isolation - i.e., not commingled with other graphic symbols, rules, bars or boxes. A 1cm border is required to be around all sides of the logo (in print) and approximately 30 pixels in electronic media.
  • The logo may only be represented on black, white, and navy blue backgrounds. Any representation outside of these colours must be expressly approved prior to printing. This includes use of coloured paper.

Again, logo use must be approved by the Academy prior to printing, production or posting (e.g., on the Web).

Failure to Comply with Logo Use

Failure to comply with logo use will result in the termination of authorisation to use the Academy name and corporate logo. The Academy will reserve its rights to seek possession of physical materials where violation of Logo use has occurred, and demand removal of logo and name in electronic promotion.
